2015 Arrow & Branch Cabernet Sauvignon
Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard

The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard is fabulous. Winemaker Jennifer Williams captures the essence of this St. Helena site in a rich, sumptuous wine with no hard edges and exceptional balance. Silky tannins wrap around a core of dark red/purplish fruit, lavender, rose petal, chocolate and spice. Forward, racy and perfumed, the 2015 is a total knock-out. The 85% new oak is perhaps a touch high, but that is a relatively small critique at this level. – Antonio Galloni

The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard sports a deep garnet-purple color and nose of warm blueberries, cassis and black raspberries with hints of Chinese five spice, earth and cigar box plus touches of pencil lead and herbs. Full, rich and concentrated in the mouth with chewy, firm tannins and layers of earth and spice flavors, it finishes on a crème de cassis note. – LPB

Lastly, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard is top notch, sensational, awesome, pick your favorite adjective! Its deep purple color is followed by an incredibly pure, concentrated beauty that has a stacked mid-palate, plenty of underlying structure and flat out great notes of currants, blueberries, damp earth, tobacco and hints of chocolate. A wine that continues to grow with time in the glass, it's a gem in the vintage that I’d happily drink anytime over the coming 20-25 years. – JD
