The dense purple-colored 2010 Beckstoffer Dr. Crane reveals gorgeous depth of fruit with a Graves-like scorched earth and volcanic earthy character. It reveals some gravelly minerality along with a boatload of blackberry and cassis fruit, full body, and no heaviness or harshness. The tannins are melted and well-integrated in this prodigious wine. One of the stars of the vintage, it should evolve for 20+ years. - RP

Notably rich and concentrated, showing a mix of power and finesse, with a core blackberry, currant and wild berry flavors that are intense and focused without being overpowering. The finish gains momentum and strength. Cellaring would be a good idea. Best from 2014 through 2025. 80 cases made. –JL
