Wine reviews
Coming from a great valley floor site in Oakville, the inky-hued 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper Vineyard Pangkarra has classic Napa Valley notes of ripe black fruits, graphite, classy oak, and a kiss of ripe tobacco. Medium to full-bodied and concentrated, with remarkable purity of fruit and fine tannins, it needs to be hidden in the cellar for just 4-5 years (you'll be excused for opening one of these early) and I suspect will evolve for 20 years or more. It's another gorgeous wine in the lineup from Becklyn Cellars. – JD
The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper Vineyard Pangkarra is similarly inky hued, with a gorgeous nose of cassis, blueberries, pen ink, violets, and tobacco. This carries to a rich, full-bodied, classic valley floor Cabernet Sauvignon delivering sweet tannins, nicely integrated oak, and a great finish. – JD
