2012 B Cellars  Cabernet Sauvignon
Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard
The Wine Advocate 96-100 Points
October 2013

The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon demonstrates the potential to be the sweepstakes winner in this vintage. More reserved and showing less minerality than the Dr. Crane, it exhibits copious notes of crėme de cassis, licorice and spring flowers along with a nobility and precision that are remarkable. With enormous richness and flesh, this is a dead-ringer for a great 2007 or 2002. Extremely full with enough acidity for energy and vibrancy, this spectacular effort is a tour de force. It should age effortlessly for 20-25 years. - RP

The first-growth 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard displays that extra dimension that is often present in the fruit from this vineyard. Crème de cassis, Christmas fruitcake and spring flower aromas are followed by a full-bodied, pure, ripe, concentrated, densely-colored wine with a mid-Northern Médoc-like, St.- Julien/Pauillac personality, only riper. This multidemsional, impressive beauty should drink well for 15+ years. A dizzying array of wines from B Cellars are all barrel samples, including the red - RP
